Knocked Loose are one of the best young bands in hardcore and, alongside Code Orange, Turnstile, Vein and more, the leaders of a new breed of mosh-pit mongers tearing up venues around the world. Their last full-length, Laugh Tracks, stands a modern classic of take-no-prisoners heaviosity, but the group have taken things next level with their first new music in three years, i.e. the trio of songs on Knocked Loose’s just-released 7-inch EP. The lead cut, “Mistakes Like Fractures,” premiered on SiriusXM yesterday (April 4th), and today the quintet have offered up the single’s corresponding music video. The compelling visual cuts between footage of the group throwing down hard in claustrophobically close quarters — the band members sometimes multiplying in the form of straight-faced clones amid the action — and clips of an unnamed man tormented as his world slowly turns blue — literally. The song ends in a breakdown for the ages as the video concludes with an apocalypse of paint spatter. Knocked Loose’s new 7-inch is available now via Pure Noise Records. The band has a full slate of shows ahead of them — see dates below.
