Of Mice & Men have back-to-back massive U.S. tours already lined up for 2019, but that hasn’t stopped the band from releasing headbanging new music. The group spent much of the fall in the studio working with producer Josh Wilbur, and among the fruits of their labor is “How to Survive,” a wrathful anthem dedicated to “those who have been the receiving end of unmerited and targeted hatred and abuse,” according to singer-bassist Aaron Pauley. “It’s for the kid who was bullied, beat up, and ignored in school,” he continues. “It’s for the teenager who was told that they’ll never amount to anything and that their thoughts, feelings, and opinions don’t matter to the world. It’s for the person who has been told that they’re worthless, useless, or not good enough, time and time again. It’s for the person who’s repeatedly been targeted by those who only seek to tear others around them down.” Check it out below, as well as Of Mice & Men’s upcoming dates with Nothing More and Beartooth.
